Based in Athens, Georgia, Wim Tapley came of age playing shows in Washington D.C. where he honed his voice with the passion of a born troubadour.

Since 2021, Wim and his live band The Cannons have called Athens home. His first week in Georgia, he made his way onto a local bill, etching a name for himself as a fresh and favorite hometown voice. He is ardently received by his ever-growing following at legendary venues like Eddie’s Attic and the Georgia Theatre, along with tours across the East Coast.

Firmly rooted in Americana and dashed with catchy pop sensibilities, the swinging depths of neo-soul, and a sprinkling of riotous horns, Wim’s arresting sound is as fresh as it is ageless, as fevered as it is raucous fun. A sonic westward expansion of fuzzed-out guitars, saloon pianos, defiant horns, and dusty vocals, his discography blazes a new take on folk and soul while honoring the songwriting giants that paved the way before him like Jason Isbell, Bill Withers, and Chris Stapleton.

Tanner Dane

Tanner Dane is a Chicago-based singer-songwriter whose music sits at the intersection of soulful storytelling and modern indie-rock. Rooted in a lifetime of performing, he picked up his first instrument at eleven and hasn’t left the stage since.

Dane is perhaps best known as the frontman of Hollyy, one of Chicago’s most celebrated six-piece soul and R&B acts. Over the course of seven years, he helped build the band from a scrappy local outfit into a city staple, headlining venues like Thalia Hall and earning a devoted following drawn to their warm, layered sound. Hollyy’s debut album, The Weight of This Heart, cemented the band’s reputation for emotionally rich, expansive songwriting.

Alongside Hollyy, Dane has steadily built a solo career that stands fully on its own. His 2025 Pull Tabs EP, released via Easy Does It Records, showcases the sound he’s been honing: introspective lyricism wrapped in lush, soulful production drawing from the classic soul of Nina Simone alongside the textured modern styles of Still Woozy and Hozier. The record explores the tender, uncertain space of trying to love someone while still figuring yourself out — honest, a little vulnerable, and deeply human.

With new music on the horizon and dates on the road, Tanner Dane is one of Chicago’s most compelling voices, equally at home fronting a full band or standing alone at a microphone.
